ABOUT the Tulsa Community Band

The Tulsa Community Band has been in existence since 1938, originally organized as the American Legion Band. Composed of musicians from all walks of life and backgrounds, the Tulsa Community Band rehearses and performs year-round in all types of venues throughout Northeast Oklahoma. Their musical repertoire covers a wide field of styles, from difficult orchestral transcriptions for band all the way to dixieland. The Band prides itself in being able to present a wide variety of musical styles to the Northeast Oklahoma community.

We would love to have you as a part of our band! Membership is open to adults over 18 who have a proficiency on their instrument equal to or higher than a high school level. To join, all you need to do is to attend one of our rehearsals and speak to our Director, who will assist you in finding the right spot for you.
