Founded in 1967 by the Tulsa Parks and Recreation Department, the Tulsa Community Band has been a vital part of the city’s cultural life for over five decades. Composed of musicians from all walks of life and backgrounds, the band rehearses weekly and performs year-round at a wide variety of events throughout the year at local events and citywide celebrations.

Our repertoire spans a diverse range of musical styles — from orchestral transcriptions to marches, jazz, and popular selections. We take pride in delivering high-quality, engaging performances that enrich the cultural fabric of our community and bring live music to audiences of all ages.

Membership is open to adults age 18 and older who play at a level comparable to or above that of a high school musician.
